    The Lake Washington School District

    Residents of Redmond who have children will are served by the Lake Washington School District. As of 2005 this district is the fifth-largest school district in Washington state. The district serves the Kirkland, Redmond, and north Sammamish communities. The student enrollment in 2015 was 26,708.

    The Lake Washington School District is well known for the leadership role in education that they have taken in the past few years. The district has adopted new programs such as reform mathematics texts. The district is also well known for it’s leadership to be extremely supportive of Outocmes-based education and the MSP assessment.

    The City of Redmond has an extensive park and trail system throughout the city and portions of King County. There are 23 developed parks consisting of over 1000 acres and 17 miles of developed trails. In addition, the city has 8 undeveloped parks consisting of almost 300 acres and nine miles of undeveloped trails.

    Marymoor Park

    Marymoor Park, a 640 acre piece of natural beauty is one of the oldest and most desirable parks to visit in King County.

    The park offers something for everyone including paved trails for walking, biking, blading and skateboarding, a velodrome bike track, sports fields for game day practice, an outdoor amphitheatre and plenty of open green space for picnics or family gatherings.
